SPEC is an annual week-long leadership, sports, music, and arts camp held on the campus of Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. It is sponsored by Community of Christ and is attended by approximately 1,200 high school students and staff from around the world. This is the largest gathering of youth in Community of Christ. The mission of SPECTACULAR is to create a safe, Christ-centered community that encourages young women and men to discover God, their inherent worth, and cultivate and express their giftedness.

The 2012 theme is Nothing (I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. - Romans 8:38). Daily themes will be explored through classes, worship, and other activities.

When is SPEC held?
SPEC 2012: July 18-28

Who Can Attend?
Any high school student who is CURRENTLY in grades 10, 11, or 12 may attend. Everyone welcome - invite your friends!

What is the Cost?
The cost for the 10-day trip is $700-$800. The price includes registration, airfare, transportation, lodging and all meals except lunch traveling to and from Graceland.

International Youth Forum (IYF) - Next IYF is in 2013!

IYF is an international youth gathering held once every four years immediately before SPEC. Youth from around the world come together to celebrate and claim their place in the Community of Christ. IYF is held in Independence, MO and also at other international locations. Next IYF will be in 2013.
