What is SPECTACULAR? A week-long leadership, sports, music, and arts camp held on the campus of Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. It is sponsored by the Community of Christ and is attended by approximately 1,200 high school students and staff from around the world. This is the largest gathering of youth in the Community of Christ. |
| When is SPEC? SPEC 2008 will be held July 19- 26. The Northwest Delegation will depart Wednesday, July 16th. The first three days will be spent in Independence, Missouri before heading to Graceland University, in Lamoni, Iowa. |

Who can attend? Any high school student who is CURRENTLY in grades 10, 11, or 12 may attend. Everyone welcome! Invite your friends. |
Cost:
The cost this year will be $495 + airfare. There will be planned fund raising events for the youth to participate in that will help raise the money to attend this spectacular week. Talk to your pastor, or area SPEC representative for more information. Money should not be a reason for missing out on this spectacular experience. The cost covers registrations fees, delegation uniforms, meals, lodging at the family life center, transportation and recreational activities (Worlds of Fun, pool party, etc.) while we are in Independence, Missouri. The cost for each rally is $10 per rally. Please contact your local SPEC staff person for transportation information.
What is a Rally?
You are invited to different SPEC Rallies around the Pacific Northwest area. This will be a time to meet the other youth who may be going to SPEC. It's a time to play, worship, and have fun together. Come to the Rallies even if you're not sure you can attend SPEC. Bring your friends and meet new ones.
