You’re invited to attend a Special Mission Center Conference at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 14, at Samish Island Campgrounds, 11633 Scott Road, Bow, WA. The conference immediately precedes our first reunion this summer, Samish Adult Reunion, featuring guest ministers Danny Belrose, former Presiding Evangelist, and Francine Inslee, Congregational Support Minister. Simply click on "Camps and Events", then "Samish Island, WA" for directions. The one and only agenda item at this one-hour conference will be sharing testimonies and requesting sustaining votes for the following priesthood calls:
• Barbara Hawksford, Crystal Springs Congregation (Bothell, WA), to Evangelist.
• Francine Inslee, Crystal Springs Congregation, to Evangelist.
• Clint Jacks, Redmond Congregation (Redmond, OR), to Evangelist.
• John Mills, Salem Congregation (Salem, OR) to High Priest.
Whether you’re traveling a long or short distance to attend, you are welcome to enjoy the beautiful campgrounds, stay for an evening meal and our first worship at 7:15 p.m., featuring Danny Belrose as speaker, and even stay for the weekend in one of our cabins before your trip home. We will need advance registration for any meals or cabin by June 2; a link is provided below to print a registration form. If you have already registered for Adult Reunion, your reservations are already taken care of. Thank you for demonstrating your support of these candidates for ordination. I am happy to announce that we have hired Karen Short as our new full-time GPNW Mission Center Communications Coordinator. Karen started her new job this week. You have experienced some of Karen’s talents already. She produced our 2008 camping and reunion posters, flyers, forms and web pages.
